TUCSON OFF-ROAD CYCLISTS AND ACTIVISTS
After a long summer of being one of Tucson's most used trails, Aspen Draw is in need of some love. Come out and help us bring it back to life. September will still be warm, so it will be a nice day to work in the trees and play in some real dirt.
When/Where: Due to the Oktoberfest parking situation at Ski Valley, everyone attending the trail day should park in Summerhaven by the visitors center. The HG van will shuttle from 8-8:30 to the Taco at Ski Valley.
What To Expect: Be prepared for roughly 2-3 miles of hiking and working with hand tools. This work requires steep hiking, carrying your own supplies, and some heavy lifting. Think CrossFit in the woods .
All are welcome, no membership required. No trail work experience? Don’t worry, we’ll show you the ropes and get you digging in no time! Tools and post-work snacks and drinks will be provided.
What To Bring: -work gloves -hydration pack (2L water) -lunch/snacks for the day -eye protection -long pants (No yoga pants. Jeans or work pants recommended.) -long sleeve shirt (recommended) -hike/work boots -sunscreen
We are looking forward to getting back to work and hope to see you there!
