50 Year / Golder Ranch

Status: In Review

Current ETA: Spring 2025

Trail type: Multi-use

The Golder Ranch Trail System is a network of beloved trails found just north of Catalina State Park. The trail system resides partially on State Trust Land to the West of the fence line and Coronado Forest Service property to the East. The trails on the Forest Service property are being adopted, so that they can be officially maintained. Safeguards will be put in place to defend against future loss of access of the State Trust Land on its western border.

Highlights

  • New trail that will connect Upper 50 Year to Middlegate Trail. This trail will ensure there will be a viable north/south loop in the event the trails on the western portion of the system become inaccessible.

  • Cow Pies Trail and Baby Jesus Trail will be re-routed with sustainability and rideability in mind to form Stone Cactus Loop Trail.
